The Can Industry around the world is quickly learning that LPT is more than just the Yellow Ceramic necking die company. LPT has an expanded product line that services can lines from the frontend to the backend. LPT's history begins with SCT in Tennessee in the mid 1990's and continues with the move to Colorado Springs as part of Saint-Gobain Ceramics in 2000. LPT (Lieb Precision Tool Inc.) was started in 2002, as it separated from Saint-Gobain Ceramics. In 2008, The Wallram Group acquired the company and Hans-Peter Kaempfer became the sole owner, President, and Chief Executive.

Mike Simonson, Vice President of Operations, has been with LPT since with move to Colorado Springs as part of Saint-Gobain Ceramics and has over 35 years experience in the ceramics business. The Engineering Team is made up of individuals along with Mike with over 25 years in Engineering Design and over 27 years of Can Manufacturing experience. In order to meet the increasing demand for its products, LPT relocated in March of 2010 to the new 21,500 square foot facility. The new location offers a more efficient production layout and room for the new dedicated punch sleeve line. In addition, the new location offers space for future growth.

We have the ability to meet both your tool manufacturing needs, with our state of the art grinding and measuring systems, and your tooling and can design requirements. Our engineering staff has a unique knowledge that encompasses can manufacturing, tool design and material sciences.

This distinctive combination of experience and knowledge gives us the superb capability to marry materials with applications and create new or modified materials to meet specific manufacturing needs.
